Lisa began skating after convincing her mother it would be a nice Saturday afternoon out, way back in 1976 and some 32 years later she is still enjoying it.
Lisa passed her Silver Level in Figures and competed in several Queensland Championships during the 80’s.
Lisa felt she much more enjoyed the technical aspects of Judging and began pursuing her judging career at a very early age of 15 when she started Trial Judging.
She then became an Australian Championship Level Judge at the young age of 18, and has participated at almost every Australian National Championships ever since (23).
She is an International Judge for Singles, Pairs and Synchronized, along with being renowned as one of the most highly respected ISU Data Entry and Video Replay Operators, with selection at a number of “blue ribbon” international events recently.
Lisa is also considered one of the most knowledgeable in the world for the intricate “back end” workings of the IJS System and is well regarded in the international skating community for this knowledge and ability to problem solve and de-bug the new version releases.
Lisa now puts an enormous amount of her own personal time into skating in the administrative area as well as judging, with being the Secretary of Ice Skating Queensland, and Operational Director Technical Regulations for Ice Skating Australia.
She is now a “skating mum” herself with her two boys involved in skating.
Her career highlights include:
20+ x Australian National Championships as a Judge in Singles, Synchronized and Pairs
5 x International Competitions as a Synchronized Judge
5 x International Competitions as a Singles Judge
4 x ISU Grand Prix / Championship Competitions as a Data Entry/Video Replay Operator
